Slight sting tie denting on front cover and preliminaries, otherwise a Near Fine copy in a tight binding, no foxing, folds or tears. A Near Fine copy. Scarce.

The Polar Book is an attempt to bring together various aspects of polar work by means of short authoritative articles. Published in conjunction with the British Polar Expedition of 1930, with contributions from some of Britain’s most noted polar explorers to include Hugh Mill, Frank Debenham, GC Simpson, CS Wright, JM Wordie, GT Atkinson, Dr. G Murry-Levick, Dr. RH Rudmose Brown, HG Watkins and LC Bernacchi. Funds from the proceeds of this book were to be donated to the Scott Polar Research Institute.
