A scarce title about the Ainu of northern Japan. Comprises two parts; “The Koropok-Guru or Pit-Dwellers of North Japan” and “A Critical Examination of the Nomenclature of Yezo”. The latter part lists 600 place names giving their Japanese pronunciation and the Ainu form followed by the derivation and meaning of the word. Nipponalia (1974) 2277. Very Scarce.
